ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for making the necessary additions, deletions, and updates to power plant and energy markets policies, practices and procedures to ensure that they are in compliance with NERC Standards.
- Assist with organizing, maintaining, and changing documentation, as necessary, to provide evidence that Generation and Energy Markets facilities are in compliance with NERC Standards.
- Responsible for working closely with company Power Plant staff to ensure compliance with applicable Critical Infrastructure Protection standards and requirements.
- Responsible for working closely with company Energy Markets staff to ensure operation centers are in compliance with applicable Critical Infrastructure Protection standards and requirements.
- Responsible for continuously monitoring NERC and WECC standards announcements governing Power Plant facilities operations and Energy Markets operations to ensure current compliance.
- Assist with the preparation of documentation required to support company responses to WECC Audits, Spot Checks and On-Site Audits as they relate to Power Plant and Energy Markets facilities.
- Assist with developing the measures necessary to enhance the consistency of policies and procedures needed to ensure compliance with NERC standards applicable to Power Plant and Energy Markets facilities.
- Recommend and submit compliance document changes to document owners based on review timelines identified in NERC standards.
- Assist Generation and Energy Markets staff with implementation for new or revised NERC Standards.
- Coordinate the preparation of Generation facilities and Energy Markets staff for Compliance Audits
- Assist with providing compliance technical support during plant unit outages including the monitoring of computer hardware and software required for NERC compliance.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to functional area.
- Because Tri-State has an obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to its customers, the ability to work overtime at any time of the day or week is considered an essential function of the job.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education and Training - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: - General to advanced knowledge of the use and application of electric utility industry codes, standards, and governmental regulations that are applicable to Power Generation and Energy Markets, particularly the NERC Standards and the systems associated with those standards.
- Working knowledge of personal computers and business office applications including MSWord, Excel, Outlook, and other related business office applications and software.
- Working knowledge of safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to organize the work of others to achieve goals and expectations.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
Experience: - Eight (8) years of experience in electric power generation operations and/or maintenance including experience with plant systems, equipment, and facilities.
- Experience with training materials development and instruction delivery, preferred.
Other: - Willingness to travel. (Must possess a current valid driver's license.)
