Position Purpose

English/Humanities Teacher

• Seeking experienced English/Humanities educator with a background in Middle School teaching.
• This is a full-time position with the possibility of additional hours in various projects in grades 5-8.
• This teacher will be a part of a collaborative department with an internationally focused curriculum.

Advisor

• The teacher will be part of a grade-level team of Advisors who supports the social-emotional needs of the Middle School grade.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities include: teaching English/Humanities to students in grades 5-8.
• Responsible to execute the duties of a Middle School Advisor

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills, oral and written, and ability to adapt messages to specific audiences, requiring different levels of detail
• Knowledge of adolescent social and emotional development
• Pro-active, positive team player
• Curious, inquiring, inventive, and open mindset

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is required Master's Degree preferred
• Experience in a K-12 educational environment essential
• Experience with Concept-based curriculum and instruction

Annual Salary in the range of $61,075 to $108,198 (salary is prorated for part-time or temporary positions).
