Director, Maryvale Leadership Institute
Founded ten years ago, the Leadership Institute at Maryvale was the first of its kind, in an all-girls school, in the area. Now, Maryvale is offering the unique opportunity for the right person to be the second-ever Director of the Leadership Institute.
The Leadership Institute offers an extensive leadership curriculum for Maryvale students, grades six through 12, and goes beyond the classroom. Outside speakers, “shadow days”, internships, and mentoring are all part of the robust Leadership Institute. Students have an opportunity to participate in general offerings or apply for the competitive Leadership Scholars Program which culminates in a Capstone Class, in-depth research, and juried presentations. The Leadership Institute introduces students to different careers while working with and hearing directly from successful women and men in our community.
Maryvale’s Leadership Institute has grown immensely over the last ten years and continues to expand. With guidance from our next director, this program will have an even bigger impact on our students and the surrounding businesses as we continue to focus on inspiring the leaders of tomorrow.
