The Academy of the Sacred Heart seeks a Middle School Volleyball Coach. The Assistant Volleyball coach will report directly to the Director of Athletics/Assistant Director. S(he) works with the Director of Athletics, Assistant Athletic Director, Division Heads, Dean of Students, students and parents to ensure that the spirit and the life of the volleyball program reflect the Goals and Criteria of a Sacred Heart education.
Primary Responsibilities:
Middle School Volleyball Coach will
Understand, embrace, and implement the school's mission and philosophy as written in the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria; participate in the Christ-centered life of the school; and model the school’s philosophy in working with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
Conduct practices, motivating students, and instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques.
Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success
Work in collaboration with middle school, and high school coaching staff
Provide leadership in player development and game preparation.
Provide weekly communication with players and parents on logistics and scheduling.
Work in collaboration with Athletic Director/Assistant Athletic Director to handle social media and other official content related to the middle school volleyball program
Devote commitment, passion, and energy into all Sacred Heart athletic teams, including but not limited to attending sporting events and supporting fellow coaches and the Sacred Heart student-athletes.
Position requires practices 2-3 times a week including matches/games.

Previous Coaching Experience, 3-5 years prior High School or collegiate playing experience
