About the Role:
The Marketing team at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company’s growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to support our Sales and Customer Success departments in growing and retaining our client base. The Marketing team is responsible for all demand generation efforts by executing engaging campaigns, effective product marketing strategies and attending client and trade-show events. The Marketing team is also responsible for promoting the PitchBook brand and managing internal communications.
The Marketing Manager, Investment Banks is instrumental in driving new business and customer demand through hyper-targeted growth, expansion and retention strategies and campaigns by customer segment across all product offerings. Senior Segment Managers are responsible for the full-funnel strategy and execution of product-centric marketing programs that capture and nurture leads across multiple channels. This position requires a savvy marketer who wants to be the subject matter expert (SME) of their vertical and continually test, learn, lean on the data and collaborate across functions to find new and innovative ways of reaching target audiences, building pipeline and expanding revenue. The ideal candidate is a SaaS, product marketing and/or demand generation expert who is highly analytical and can operate at both the strategic and tactical level.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Develop and own go to market marketing strategy for segment; partner with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success and internal analysis to align on ideal messaging, product priorities and positioning approach
Be the segment SME, incorporating the voice of your customer, internal expertise and pipeline analytics and more, to continually refine and optimize segment strategy inclusive of messaging, product positioning, content and campaign prioritization and product release plans
Become the marketing expert for your designated customer segments and serve as the key marketing point of contact and voice of customer for the segment, working in close partnership with teams across marketing and the broader organization to influence campaigns and programs
Develop, implement and continually optimize segment messaging framework; create and maintain relevant solutions architecture, value prop messaging and hero content and research
Develop and implement demand generation strategies and campaigns for your designated customer segments, working with cross-functional partners to ensure the right mix of activity and messages to achieve lead targets
Manage demand generation engine to fuel pipeline growth for specific customer segments for new business, expansion and retention across all product offerings
Ensure consistent inbound and outbound touchpoints across customer lifecycles, focusing on the highest revenue opportunities
Work closely with Sales and Customer Success leaders on shared pipeline goals and refine go to market strategy as needed to achieve revenue targets via leads and opportunity conversions
Utilize data-driven decision-making to drive growth through demand marketing initiatives, including qualifying and accelerating leads, optimizing the demand generation funnel and refining accountability, attribution and reporting
Continually dive into analytics and report out performance (such as leads, conversions and revenue) and forecasts to leadership on a regular basis
Use defined product/solution-based messaging framework and corresponding buyer challenges to segment target audiences and guide in-market program strategy, ensuring the most relevant and optimal path to conversion
Build and maintain close partnerships with the broader Marketing organization (web, digital, marketing ops, program management and content strategy) to best leverage the available channel mix and partner on decisions to achieve target KPIs
Discover new opportunities for your customer segments through market research, test and learn of past campaigns, promotion of new product and service features
Monitor industry trends and stay up to date on new technology and techniques, especially those specific to your customer segments
Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
6+ years of Business to Business marketing experience, SaaS preferred, in demand generation and campaigns
Proven track record of implementing return-on-investment positive, growth-oriented demand generation programs
Top-notch analytical skills with a proven ability to work through data and multiple attribution models to find opportunities and actionable insights and clearly communicate to a diverse set of stakeholders
Work well cross-functionally, building strong relationships to effectively partner across marketing teams and with leaders from Sales, Product and operations organizations to obtain shared success
Experience setting and measuring KPIs, managing a budget, forecasting and delivering on monthly goals of spend
Proficiency in marketing automation tools (preferably Marketo), CRM (preferably Salesforce.com) web analytics and business intelligence (preferably Tableau)
Both a strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data and insights into strong marketing strategies and a highly organized “doer” with a data-driven mentality and a bias toward action
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency and follow-through
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects at once in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment
Desire and ability to be a team player who appreciates a unique, entrepreneurial and collaborative environment
Resourceful self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and adaptive to change
Energetic, friendly and self-motivated attitude
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
Experience with Advisors, Investment Banks and Service Providers segments is a plus

Compensation
Annual base salary: $97,200-$164,400
Target annual bonus percentage: 15%
*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.
