The Upper Division World Languages Department is seeking a dynamic and collaborative teacher to cover a temporary parental leave beginning August 28th through mid-January. The position is full time. The successful candidate will have experience teaching various levels of Spanish, from beginning through advanced and will be familiar with the National Standards and ACTFL guidelines. An advanced degree is preferred. The World Languages Department prizes communicative and experiential learning that emphasizes culture and literature, as well as precision in self-expression through speaking and writing. The annual salary range: $69,985 to $123,770 based on teaching experience and education. The annual salary will be prorated based on the actual percentage of academic year worked.
Horace Mann School is a coeducational, college preparatory independent day school for students from Nursery through grade 12. Over the past five years, the School has recorded a 97% annual retention rate for students and a 92% retention rate for all employees. The school’s recent $125 million bricks and mortar campaign has provided the Middle and Upper Divisions with newly constructed and renovated state of the art science and physical education facilities.
