West Nottingham Academy is seeking a Business teacher starting in the 2023-2024 school year. This position involves teaching sections of Introduction to Business, Personal Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, and a variety of business electives including Marketing, Leadership, Management, and so on. This is a full-time position with the potential for living on-campus. Our academic program at West Nottingham focuses on helping every student find their unique passions and unleashing their potential. We highlight creativity, teamwork, innovation, and entrepreneurism as part of our leadership development program. Student engagement drives classes at West Nottingham with the emphasis on hands-on learning to maximize the student experience. By graduation, our goal is for every student to understand who they are and how they can affect change in the world.
Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business or another related field
Prior teaching experience preferred but not required
Understanding and desire to work with high school students
Proven ability to communicate with students, parents, and colleagues to build community and support student learning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity – willingness to be a fellow learner with students
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and to work independently as well
Interest in and aptitude for building new programs / classes / learning experiences
A high degree of cultural competency and an awareness and appreciation for sustainability efforts
