TheRole: Private Markets - Market Development
The Team: This is a high energy, collaborative environment. It's a close-knit tactical team so you have support directly from senior members if you have questions. The business you will be supporting is the Private Markets Team in our Data, Valuations, and Analytics business unit for S&P Global Market Intelligence. You will be analyzing product gaps in our portfolio and be a part of the team to create and facilitate our future roadmaps & business cases.
The Impact: You will direct and coordinate market development activities to develop new markets, increase market share, and obtain competitive position in private markets. Utilizing the agile framework to develop products for private capital market professionals. Aid the development of the go-to-market strategy for S&P Global products and services into the private capital markets. Effectively communicates the private equity segment strategy and goals to internal partners. Product Management identifies and addresses the product and service needs of clients to develop and improve new and existing products.
Responsibilities:
Work with clients to gather requirements and feedback across the private capital ecosystem (investors, fund managers, funds, transactions, and assets)
Present to clients and commercial teams' new products & functionality developed by technology teams
Work with key team members across technology, product ops, marketing, commercial organizations to push forward monetization of private markets products
Create go to market plans for new product initiatives
Ability to understand complex data architecture, ingestion, and transformation processes
Project Management - deep understanding of developing web-based applications in the agile framework
Build and execute on usability test plans
Design desktop features and workflows to address client requirements
Execute market research to stay on top of industry competitors, and private market trends
Assists in due diligence in the creation and analysis of new business opportunities
Participate in QA efforts from both a technical and client perspectives
What We're Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of private capital market
Understanding of data and software products leveraged by private markets professionals
Digital product design sensibility
Ability to read and write SQL
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering or advanced degree preferred
5-7+ Years in the financial service industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
Deep understanding of Microsoft office applications
Some experience with Capital IQ desktop

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $88,400 to $175,650. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
