Position Overview Responsible for the management of studies, review of development proposals, and the preparation of reports related to urban design policy, guidelines and standards in the City of Vaughan, and the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC). Responsible for the provision of urban design expertise, including recommending and implementing goals and strategies to address the planning and physical development of the City and the VMC, including architectural form, block structure, streetscapes, green infrastructure, the successful integration of transit infrastructure, parks and open spaces, and other aspects of urban design associated with the public realm and natural environment. Provides resources for the progress and consideration of development proposal
