The Artistic Operations Associate provides operational and administrative support to the Artistic Operations team, especially related to Naples Philharmonic Youth Ensembles, presentations, education activities and rental events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
• Plan and coordinate stage/room setups and technical needs, as well as stage manage Naples Philharmonic Youth Ensemble and certain Naples Philharmonic rehearsals and performances as assigned.
• Provide support, as needed, for Artis—Naples presentations in Hayes Hall, Daniels Pavilion and other spaces on and offsite.
• Communicate with internal and external constituencies and oversee the planning, logistics and operations of rental, community partnership and internal Artis—Naples events
• Manage stage crew as required, including working with the production team to schedule crew and submit crew payroll
• Ensure compliance with the Naples Philharmonic and IATSE Local 647 master agreements, especially as they relate to working conditions
• Observes safety requirements. Report safety issues and items requiring work orders to Supervisor or Safety & Security.
• Works effectively with all Artis—Naples team members.
Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Theatre, Management or Liberal Arts.
• Minimum 2 years working experience.
• Familiarity with orchestra and classical music
• Event planning experience preferred
• Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of and/or interest in music and performing arts.
• High energy, sense of humor and grace under pressure.

In the 2014-15 season, Andrey Boreyko assumed the title of Music Director and serves in this capacity for Artis—Naples. Boreyko is internationally recognized as on...e of the most exciting and dynamic conductors working today. This appointment, extended into 2020, marks his first American post.
The Wall Street Journal says van Bergen and Boreyko have ushered in “an impressive new phase” for classical music in Southwest Florida.
THE NAPLES PHILHARMONIC
The Naples Philharmonic has long been recognized as one of the cornerstones of Southwest Florida’s arts community. As the resident orchestra of Artis—Naples, the Naples Philharmonic performs more than 140 orchestral and chamber music concerts, as well as opera and ballet, education, community and special event concerts annually between September and June in the 1,477-seat Hayes Hall, the 283-seat Daniels Pavilion and around the Southwest Florida region.
In 2009, Jack Everly was named Principal Pops Conductor and continues today in that role bringing pops performances that celebrate music in its many forms. In 2017, Romanian conductor Radu Paponiu was named Assistant Conductor of the Naples Philharmonic and director of the Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
THE BAKER MUSEUM
The Baker Museum is one of the foremost fine arts museums in Southwest Florida. The museum hosts several traveling exhibitions annually to complement installations of works from its permanent collections. Comprising more than 4,000 objects, the Museum’s broad holdings of 20th and 21st century art reflect the generosity and commitment of area collectors. Of particular strength are the Museum’s collections of American and Mexican modern art.
With more than 15 years of collecting and exhibiting, the Museum is dedicated to stewardship and scholarship from both its growing permanent collections and outside sources. More than 45,000 students from Collier County Public Schools interact with Artis—Naples education programming each year both on its cultural campus and in classrooms.

The Friends of Artis—Naples, with more than 2000 members, offers activities, travel experiences and events geared toward creating a deeper relationship between patrons and the arts.
