Job Description:
At Regions, the Intern works on department assignments while learning more about the financial services industry. As an intern, you will be provided with job skills and training, personal development, and networking opportunities, while experiences Regions values. Regions offers college internship opportunities within various departments.
Primary Responsibilities
Receives exposure to all basic functions of assigned group within the financial industry
Exposed to a wide range of tasks including research, administrative and correspondence work and attend meetings
Provides assistance in projects
Gains valuable insight within a variety of functions while strengthening core skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful career

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Wealth Management - Forestry Internship
The Regions Wealth Management Summer Intern Program offers internship opportunities to college students across Regions Wealth Management which includes a comprehensive suite of Private, Institutional Wealth, Asset Management and Natural Resources and Real Estate Management. Summer Interns will gain hands-on experience and exposure to various Natural Resource management functions. Functions may include private and institutional wealth client service and administration, asset management, portfolio management, research, operations, and natural resources administration. Summer Interns will operate as key team members supporting both internal and/or external client initiatives.
The Natural Resources and Real Estate Management intern will report to Birmingham, Alabama with flexibility to work offsite part-time. Summer Interns will also participate in centralized training sessions giving opportunities to interact with senior members to gain exposure to the various groups within Regions Wealth Management and the broader bank.
The Summer intern position will be paid a competitive hourly rate and last for approximately 11 weeks. Interns demonstrating Regions values, work ethic and leadership will be given preference. The selected candidates will need access to a personal vehicle for daily travel to the field and business mileage to the field will be reimbursed at the current Federal reimbursement rate.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting in execution of both technical and non-technical initiatives in the Natural Resources & Real Estate Department.
Supporting a portion of specific strategic projects by helping to formulate and solve key business issues and opportunities
Assist in day-to-day operational activities related to forest management and farm management to include but not limited to delineating timber sale area(s) via global positioning system technology, inventorying standing timber, monitoring active timber sales, supervising and coordinating site preparation applications, and monitoring general farming activities.
Assisting in preparation of marketing presentations, white papers, factsheets, and flyers including content development, data updates, design, and deployment
Participating in client discussions regarding asset management objectives and trust and estate planning
Supporting one or more research teams with due diligence, selection, evaluation or overall process improvements surrounding business development opportunities in emerging alternative energy markets.
Requirements:
At least a rising junior-level college student, majoring in Forestry, Natural Resources Management, Land Management or a related major
Preferred minimum 3.0 GPA
Personal vehicle access and valid driver's license
Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
