Schwob Energy Services, LLC is looking for a Full-Time HR Generalist to join our team. This position will be responsible for performing HR-related duties in the following functional areas: benefits administration, processing payroll, on-boarding and off-boarding, annual open enrollment, unemployment communications with state. Must be self-starter, very detailed and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to the following:
Manage new employee onboarding, employee transfer and employee offboarding process for terminations.
Process weekly salary and field payroll.
Prepare and submit certified payroll if needed.
Manage annual compliance with 401(k) plan and assist with Workers Comp and General Liability audits on an annual basis.
Oversee monthly enrollment in health plans for new employees and deactivation of termed employees.
Ensure all monthly insurance invoices accurately reflect the proper billing amount.
Ensure proper enrollment in the 401(k) plan.
Manage 401(k) Plan correspondence and compliance.
Manage annual open enrollment.
Submit state and federal reporting for payroll and other reporting required.
Assist in establishing standard processes for the HR department in conjunction with management
Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records
Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities if and when directed
Establish plan for evaluating employee performance and appraising their pay scale accordingly on a regular basis.
Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances
Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips and warning letters as needed or requested.
Special or ad-hoc projects at assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of direct hands-on Human Resources experience. Construction industry or other high volume industry preferred
·Bilingual in Spanish is a plus · Experience with Spectrum preferred
· Degree in Human Resources or certification preferred but not required if experience is met · Collaborative work style and ability to work effectively across departments · Results oriented with ability to effectively manage projects and tight deadlines · Understands the needs of timely recruitment strategies · Service oriented, collaborative approach has exceptional follow up and organization skills · Must be very detailed, organized and possess excellent oral, written, presentation and listing skills · Proficient in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Sharepoint and PowerPoint) · Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company · Must be able to maintain a schedule availability flexible to the business demands · Ability to work in an ever-changing environment · Must be passionate, entrepreneurial, and dedicated to success
