Details of the role and how it fits into the team
Deutsche Bank is looking for an experienced, Vice President level Coverage Banker to join its NBFI Coverage team in Frankfurt. In this capacity you will build strong relationships across business divisions, focusing on Client Relationship Management and Origination.
As a Global Coverage Banker, you will be responsible for covering a portfolio of Non-Banking Financial Institutions. You will be first point of contact for the Finance Director/CFO and treasury teams of your clients and become their trusted relationship manager, positioning Deutsche Bank as their preferred banking partner. You are also not only expected to maintain your client portfolio but more so to identify opportunities (active hunting), structure complex solutions, and above all, adhere to and comply with the Bank's KYC, AFC and AML policies.
Your key responsibilities
Covering and advising NBFI clients across the Corporate Bank product suite with a particular focus on Cash Management, Trust & Agency Services, Trade Finance & Lending, Securities Services and Risk Management Solutions.
You are responsible for acquiring new NBFI clients as well as growing wallet share with existing clients, generating significant revenue and recognizing new revenue opportunities to cross-sell products for all areas of the bank.
You ensure in close cooperation with other NBFI Regional Relationship Management and product teams that Deutsche Bank is the provider of choice for clients and that all avenues for working with our client across different geographies and products are explored.
You manage internal stakeholders and product partners and jointly develop strategies to grow client relationships
As an NBFI expert, you share your market expertise to global stakeholders in coverage and product teams, to maximize sector penetration and ensure opportunities are undertaken in an efficient manner.
Your skills and experiences
Academic degree (MSc) preferably within Finance or Economics
8+ years of experience in a client-facing role within the financial sector
Strong understanding of the industry of Non-Bank Financial Institutions, i.e. asset managers, financial sponsors, insurers, etc.
High level of energy, proactivity and accessibility and a clear team player with excellent interpersonal and communicative skills
Creative problem-solving abilities, anticipates on internal and/or external business challenges
Fluent in German and English, both oral and written
