We're seeking a future team member for the role of Scrum Leader to join our team. This role can be based out of our NYC, NY, Lake Mary, FL, or Pittsburgh, PA offices - Hybrid.
The Scrum Leader not only addresses all facets of the agile development process but also serves the business, product owner, team and individuals and facilitates communication and collaboration between all these elements. The Scrum Leader provides guidance on the application of Agile practices and associated processes, protects the Pod team from outside distractions, conducts ceremony facilitation, and removes impediments.
Ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
Build and coach high performing teams
Ensures the development process "Scrum" is understood and enacted
Oversees the agile development process and coaches the Pod team members; facilitates transparency, inspection and adaptation
Facilitates agile meetings to ensure full Pod team engagement (daily stand-up, sprint review, retrospective, and sprint planning meetings)
Removes development impediments (e.g., Pod team communication barriers, logistic challenges)
Enables close cooperation across all Pod team members
Shields the Pod team from external interference and ensures the Pod team is functional and focused on the sprint goal(s)
Fosters self-sufficiency of the Pod team and is not a crutch for the Pod team
Ensures continuous improvement of the pod's development process
Implements standards set by the Agile Practice

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $79,000 and $145,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
