The Team: S&P Global Commodity Insights enables organizations to create long-term, sustainable value with data and insights for a complete view on the global energy and commodities markets. This role is part of the international Upstream Product Management team who are responsible for an industry leading product portfolio. Customer centricity is at the heart of the team's approach to product management, utilizing leading technology and industry expertise to deliver solutions that support our clients to achieve their objectives.
The position is to support the effort to: carry out our existing strategy for the growth of our portfolio of upstream content products and support the continued development of these products . As a member of the team, you will play a substantial role in building and maintaining our E&P analytics offerings .
Location: Tetbury or London UK
The Impact: You will collaborate with a cross-functional product team to develop and maintain product roadmaps & ensure that we are developing effective solutions for our clients. Through a deep understanding of upstream customer workflows and evolving customer needs through the energy transition, you will contribute to delivering next generation integrated solutions to our energy customers. You will contribute towards strategic direction as well as managing tactical execution. You will help ensure stakeholders are aligned across the business. This position plays an essential part in communicating product strategy & s upporting the revenue growth of the Upstream Solutions business line.
What's in it for y ou: The position will include interaction with external clients and internal stakeholders (including product owners, technology teams , account management, customer care and operations teams) to support the development and implementation of our products .
Responsibilities:
Work on specific upstream content sets as a subject matter expert & assist in testing, troubleshooting and problem-solving of new deliverables.
Collaborate with SME's, data management, data science, and engineering teams to develop short and long-term solutions to meet business needs and solve distinct problems
Support requirements gathering and go-to-market initiatives for existing products .
Drafting and / or coordinating the creation of external and internal communications
What We're Looking For:
5+ years professional work experience in the E&P industry preferred
An undergraduate and postgraduate degree in relevant subject such as ge oscience, p etroleum e ngineering or equivalent experience required .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The candidate should be conscious of detail and numerically proficient with natural curiosity and an innovative approach to problem solving
Technical hands-on e xperience SQL, ArcGIS, Power BI or Spotfire desirable.
