Faculty, Middle and Upper School Latin Begins August 2024
Pembroke Hill School seeks a full-time Latin teacher with a start date of August 2024. Candidates should have a strong Latin language and composition background and a commitment to student development and success. The position will involve teaching students in grades 6 to 12, teach all levels of Latin through A/P, while also leading co-curricular activities and serving as a student advisor.

The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic, high-energy educational team and have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Teaches content and skills in Latin language and classical studies to middle and upper school (grade 6-12) students.
Develops and maintains long-range and daily instructional plans for each course using various teaching and assessment tools and strategies.
Integrates technology seamlessly into teaching strategies and practices.
Maintains professional competence through participation in school and/or self-selected professional growth activities.
Establishes and maintains standards of student conduct with the cooperation of the school administration.
Shares in the sponsorship of student activities and participates in faculty committees.

Applicants must be dynamic individuals who are passionate about their discipline, collaborative and innovative in their approach to teaching, and who embrace and support the diversity of our student body.
A bachelor’s degree in Latin/Classics is required; A master’s degree in Classics is preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience teaching Latin in an educational environment is strongly preferred.
Experience working with and supporting students of various ages/grades.
Demonstrated commitment to equitable and inclusive practices with respect to pedagogy, curriculum, and community engagement.
Open-mindedness, flexibility, and enthusiasm about giving and receiving feedback.
