About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10 About the Role: Transaction Tax Senior Analyst This is a hybrid role working a combination of day in office at Englewood, Colorado and remote.
Responsibilities and Impact: Proactively lead and support S&P Global' s transaction tax compliance (sales & use tax, GST/HST/QST), and business critical initiatives and priorities with opportunities for growth and make significant contributions to the firm's success.
Responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities reflect the expectations for this position but not intended to be all-inclusive:
Lead and support the company's Transaction Tax compliance activities- US Sales and Use tax, Canada GST/HST and Provincial taxes.
Run reports, reconcile, and submit transaction tax returns as assigned.
Contribute to process efficiencies and documentation projects.
Support monthly compliance metrics and trackers.
Support the tax team with various credit/refund opportunities (requires research, data collection, and presentation).
Support United States "US" sales & use tax and other transaction tax audits and supporting document request and other inquiries.
Participate in cross-functional projects to support the company's business objectives.
Participate in system testing and validation of transactions as part of our ongoing tax process improvement priorities.
Perform and review monthly transaction tax account reconciliation and related journal entries.
Provide timely support and effective guidance to our business colleagues on transaction tax matters.
Lead Technology projects and support transformation initiatives.
Ensure compliance with transaction tax laws and regulations in the respective tax jurisdictions. where S&P Global conducts business.
Work with our global tax team and cross-functional colleagues to support S&P Global' s initiatives and other business priorities.
Lead and Support tax recovery opportunities and other transaction tax related compliance.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $61,846 to $118,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We're Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years sales/use tax compliance, and audit experience.
Expert knowledge of sales and use tax laws and applications.
Knowledge of Vertex and SAP/ Oracle Fusion a plus.
Demonstrated compliance skills and knowledge in the technology sector a plus.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (e.g., Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's).
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Strong background and knowledge in tax technology tools.
Department of Revenue or Industry experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated flexibility to quickly adapt in a fast-changing environment.
Prior hands-on experience leading and supporting sales and use tax audits.
Strong ability to conduct research, and support/lead sales tax recovery opportunities, a plus.
