The Controllers group is responsible for safeguarding the firm's assets: to help maintain the integrity of Goldman Sachs' finances and expenditures. Through careful consideration and analyses of firm finances, objectives and strategies, we ensure that the firm's businesses continue to be profitable and efficiently run. Controllers also ensure that all business practices are in compliance with financial and regulatory requirements worldwide. Since contact with virtually every part of the firm is essential to Controllers, professionals in the department experience Goldman Sachs businesses, products, and sophisticated technology systems in depth. Direct Hedge Funds, Hedge Funds Strategies, Private Equity Group teams within Controllers support the alternative investments within Goldman Sachs Asset Management division with oversight over complex private funds.
YOUR IMPACT As a Regulatory Reporting Associate you will be involved in and/or have responsibility for:
Developing the ICAAP Framework for the Goldman Sachs entities in Germany
Working with multiple firmwide and external stakeholders to deliver the entity's ICAAP in a timely fashion.
Recovery and resolution reporting for the Goldman Sachs entities in Germany
Regulatory capital adequacy reporting for the Goldman Sachs entities in Germany
Calculating components of the regulatory capital position and large exposures for the German bank entity on a daily basis
Addressing ad hoc requests in relation to regulatory aspects
Participation in global regulatory project work including system developments, implementation of new products and new regulatory framework
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Academic degree in business administration or finance
Preference of a minimum 3 years of professional experience in a regulatory environment, preferably in the financial industry in Germany or a SSM country
Preference of professional experience of having worked on the ICAAP framework.
Business fluency in English, German language skills would be beneficial
Good knowledge of European/German regulatory rules
Attention to detail and time management are essential skills for this role. In addition, the candidate should have the flexibility required to work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines
Strong computing skills - comfortable with large data sets and automation tools
Strong communication - ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a broad range of people across the Firm at various levels of seniority
Self-motivated and proactive - Ability to run with issues, get involved hands-on, and provide constant high-quality feedback
Ability to maintain mutual support within a high energy, high profile team
