About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 12 The Team: The S&P Global Mobility team leverages crucial insights derived from comprehensive automotive data. This enables us to provide our clients with a clear understanding of the market, expand their customer reach, and actively contribute to the future evolution of automotive mobility.
The Impact: In this role, you will be responsible for conducting and managing research and analysis on the light vehicle sales markets across North America (USA, Canada, and Mexico). Heading up a team of seasoned analysts, your role will include overseeing and preparing vehicle sales and sales-based powertrain forecasts and conveying this extensive knowledge to our clients.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance, production, and enhancement of the S&P Global Mobility Light Vehicle Sales Forecasts for North America, alongside Sales-based Powertrain Forecasts for USA, and Canada.
Management of an experienced Americas forecast analyst team, based in multiple locations across North America.
Coordinate with global teams to integrate global economic and regulatory drivers, manufacturer intelligence, as well as sourcing patterns and auto industry trends.
Build and deliver presentations domestically and to international audiences concerning North American light vehicle sales markets and sales-based powertrain forecasts. Includes face-to-face interaction (in office and on the road) and virtual analytical support (Teams/zoom).
Represent S&P Global Mobility's interaction with customers, trade-associations, governments, and other stakeholders pertaining to automotive vehicle sales.
What We're Looking For: The minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Economics, Statistics, Business, or a form of mechanical/electrical engineering. A graduate degree in business, economics or engineering would be preferable.
At least ten years deep experience in automotive research and forecasting, or similar experience closely related to the automotive industry. Should include tenure managing a team of people with proven results.
Business-level proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus, in particular Spanish.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including expertise in Excel and well-practiced in PowerPoint.
Exceptional communication skills, including writing, interpersonal and listening skills as well as strong presentation skills gained with large and small audiences.
Organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks and to effectively prioritize under pressure towards tight deadlines.
Strong analytical abilities, proficiency in database manipulation, and the ability to assess and interpret information.
Passion and knowledge of automotive industry, plus a network of key contacts.
