Summary:
Performs and/or assists in the operation, construction and maintenance of transmission lines, substations, and associated equipment on the Great River Energy (GRE) system.

A typical starting range for this position is $45.00 - $58.00 hourly. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs and/or assists in the construction and maintenance of transmission lines, substations and associated equipment and performs all other related duties and special projects assigned by the supervisor, foreperson or lead.
Keeps supervisor, foreperson and/or lead informed of overall conditions and status of work activities. Work will be performed on energized and de-energized equipment.
Complies with established GRE safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
Responsible for working safely and the safety of all members of the crew.
Maintains assigned equipment, tools and materials to provide safe and efficient use.
Operates and performs daily routine maintenance on assigned equipment, including heavy equipment.
Develops and updates maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum education requirements include certification or degree/diploma in electrical line work and related courses. Prefer three years of line construction and maintenance experience. Ability to maintain a current medical card and valid Class A CDL license required. Must be able to reside within 60 miles of the reporting location.
