Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY: Establishes process for coordination of deliveries from various parcel and freight deliveries. Ensures safe, organized and efficient process flow for dock operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Monitors and coordinates entry of delivery drivers within the dock including proper documentation of entry and exit.
*Ensures deliveries are intended for destination via proper Purchase Order and Point of Contact Review
*Coordinates safe and effective dock procedures including movement of inbound and outbound traffic
*Maintains a clean and organized dock to promote a safe environment
*Works closely with VUPD/CSO to ensure area remains clear of pedestrian traffic and unnecessary loitering.
*Reports any unsafe actions to reporting Manager, as necessary


The person must be an assertive individual with the ability to deal with adverse communications when arises. Also, will need to be very detailed on what is needed to run a safe and efficient dock environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Oversees the daily supply chain operations and staff. Supervises inventory counts to ensure adequate supply is maintained.
* Responsible for the organization and maintenance of assigned supply locations.
* Captures patient charges for supplies.
* Provides materials and equipment requested in a timely manner. Assembles carts for distribution.
* Ensures supplies are in a clean and safe working condition and environment.
* Cleans, prepares, and tests specialty beds or equipment for safety.
* Assists with the delivery of training to new staff.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
* Driving Practices (Intermediate): Knowledge and use of safe and compliant driving procedures.
* Equipment Inspections (Advanced): Reviews and Inspections is a systematic process of checking to see whether a piece of equipment is meeting specified requirements.
* Local Area Awareness (Intermediate): Working knowledge of roads, buildings, and places in the local area.
* Inventory Management (Advanced): Monitors material movement into and out of stock, reconciles inventory balances, and maintains adequate inventory levels.
* Customer Service (Advanced): A continuing focus on the needs and requirements of customers, anticipating their needs, remaining sensitive to customers while performing services for them, responsive to customer needs.

Work with VUPD to secure and monitor access to loading docks. Person to schedule entrance to the loading docks, guide vendors to appropriate entrance points, maintain a clean and well organized loading dock.
