Maintenance Group Lead

Job Description Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to support manufacturing facility operations while managing a team of 6-10 maintenance technicians. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager â“ Environmental & Facilities Operations, as they pursue the objective to help lead activities to ensure reliable and efficient operations of facilities .

Job Description

·Lead by âœSafety First❠mindset, using principles such as â˜Customer First and Respect for Team Membersâ™ along with learning & implementing the core foundation of the Production System in day-to-day operations.

·Coach and develop Facilities Maintenance team members on a daily basis, provide clear direction, technical resources, training & work plans.

·Supporting daily operations and maintenance for Plant utility and building systems ⓠPower, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, water supply, wastewater, and dust collection equipment.

·Tracking and identifying operational issues and problem solve with countermeasures via maintenance repairs, and/or contract support. 

·Creating a standardized process(s) and documentation for various control systems 

·Supporting programming, troubleshooting, modifying, and/or repairing programmable logic controllers for facilities engineering systems 

·Project planning and project management coordination for energy and water reduction 

·Lead activity to support Company Target(s) & Objective(s) such as Key Performance Indicators for Safety, Quality, Cost, etc.

·Leading a team for daily response to equipment issues as not to impact and/or minimize downtime to production.

·Develop next generation of Facilities Maintenance Team Members.

⢠Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: packaging and handling machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC
⢠Clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices
⢠Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems

What you bring

⢠10+ years of related experience in a commercial or industrial property setting

·Experience in Facilities Maintenance in a manufacturing environment, including Preventive Maintenance and exposure to power, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, water supply, wastewater, dust collection and similar equipment and processes

·PLC experience for Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or similar including troubleshooting and problem solving

·Experience with mechanical & electrical schematics, including the ability to read, interpret and modify

·Demonstrated ability to perform failure diagnosis, including identifying and reporting on failure of components.

May be only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority/emergency situations (including overtime type assignments); may require shift work and/or stand-by on-call duties

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
