Accountable for inventory control and operations material readiness functions across Transmission areas. Accountable for operations maintenance scheduling across all disciplines of the delivery services department as well as capital project scheduling to support both the near term and long term capital work plan. Serves as Operations expert and administrator of the CMMS for Transmission inventory and material control functions. Serves as Operations expert and administrator of the CMMS for the organization and creation of preventative and corrective operations maintenance work orders. Accountable for efficient and cost effective management of Transmission storerooms, and oversight of Stores personnel. Accountable for meeting customer requirements and associated needs of direct reports to execute assigned work.
Responsible for oversight of the operations maintenance and project schedule, as well as management of Transmission/Distribution inventory and material control functions. Develops and maintains corrective and preventative maintenance work orders. Provides necessary oversight as needed for Power Delivery outage response, maintenance, and construction. Maintains knowledge of annual maintenance and construction material requirements and material issues. Coordinates necessary storeroom reviews and cycle counts. Develops, compiles and communicates KPI performance reporting of assigned functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety, environmental, industry-standard compliance within the Stores and Operations Scheduling best practices.
Oversees, plans, standardizes, and schedules all Transmission inventory control functions and material disposition activity at the Operations Center and outlying area offices.
Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) inventory module data oversight for Power Delivery.
Plans, schedules, monitors, and provides quality assurance of the published Operations and Project schedule.
Coordinates with Project Management/Engineering staff for capital project schedule updates.
Coordinates with Transmission asset operational groups for Maintenance scheduling.
Coordinates with Transmission asset operational groups for material disposition, staging, and readiness.
Coordinates with Project Management/Engineering staff for capital project materials.
Coordinates with supporting staff in accounting and purchasing functional areas.
Provides necessary oversight for 24/7/365 outage response activity as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate’s degree plus 10 years in warehouse/inventory control with additional experience in maintenance activity minimum.
Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years in warehouse/inventory control with additional experience in maintenance activity preferred.
Experience:
Five years’ minimum experience and understanding of inventory control functions, requirements, and an ability to understand technical maintenance activity.
Experience in customer service also helpful.
