Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a part-time Science Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year with the potential for full time employment in the future. The position is a part-time, 10-month position. The ideal candidate will have Upper School teaching experience and a strong academic record focusing on an inquiry-based approach. This position will report directly to the Upper School Head.  

Responsibilities include:

• Teach two sections of Upper School Chemistry.
• Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Biology, or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred; MSDE certification preferred
• Upper School experience preferred.
• Experience working in an independent school setting preferred
• Willingness to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and parents 
• Eagerness to embrace the mission and values of Maryvale and our connection to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur
