Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Science Teacher. The position is an exempt, full-time, 10-month position. The ideal candidate will have Upper School teaching experience and a strong academic record focusing on an inquiry-based approach. This position will report directly to the Upper School Head.  

Responsibilities include:

• Teach Upper School Chemistry.
• Serve as an advisor in the Student Advisory Program.
• Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Biology, or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred; MSDE certification preferred
• Upper School experience preferred.
• Experience working in an independent school setting preferred
• Willingness to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and parents 
• Eagerness to embrace the mission and values of Maryvale and our connection to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur 
• Commitment to equity and inclusion and have experience working with a diverse student population
• Commitment to single gender education for young women

Additional Requirements:

• Subject to a criminal background check prior to employment
