During a time of strength, momentum, and growth, McCallie seeks an Assistant Director of Admission to focus on 9th-12th grade boarding admission. This individual will work with members of the enrollment management team in the school's recruitment and retention efforts. The Assistant Director will represent the school both on and off campus to prospective students, their families, and various constituencies. This position will research, plan, and execute recruitment strategies for specific areas and student populations.
Responsibilities will include significant seasonal travel and weekend and evening work to visit schools, organizations, consultants, families and alumni, and host events. The Assistant Director will create and maintain close relationships with prospective students and their families, guiding them through the admission process and helping them transition into the school. She or he will coordinate with members of the team and the McCallie School Community in the creation and execution of school visits and special events. This self-starter must be passionate about working with students, being an enthusiastic member of our diverse school community, and having fun as a member of an energetic team.
The Assistant Director of Admission will be responsible for supporting the overall enrollment and marketing objectives of McCallie’s residential program and for contributing to the effective implementation of enrollment management initiatives. The Assistant Director of Admission reports to the Dean of Enrollment Management.
This position is full time, exempt, and eligible for benefits.
The successful candidate must have:
a bachelor’s degree;
ability to travel extensively domestically and internationally;
ability to work some nights and weekends to support on and off campus events and prospect visits;
ability to work with high school aged students; and
Deep understanding of, support for, and desire to live out McCallie’s mission for the good of McCallie boys - including both the school’s commitment to character development and the ideals of honor, truth, and duty and the school’s Christian foundation and Judeo-Christian heritage.

outstanding oral and written communication skills;
a high level of self-motivation, intellectual curiosity, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team, substantial energy, and an abundance of persistence;
proficiency in use of a range of software and tools necessary for communication and student enrollment as well as the ability to adapt to emerging technology.
