Summary:
Great River Energy (GRE) is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Telecommunications Engineer to lead the analysis, design, development, implementation, and third-level support of our advanced telecommunications infrastructure. This includes data, voice, telemetry, and carrier communications systems that are integral to our operational excellence and business strategy. Total Rewards:
A typical starting range for this position is $113,000 - $155,000 + annually. We offer market competitive base pay and adjust our offer accordingly based upon the value of the candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Infrastructure Design & Support: Lead the planning, design, and engineering of telecommunications infrastructure, transport mechanisms, and architecture to support operational and business needs.
Proven expertise in RF design, radios, and frequency planning,
Extensive experience with towers, communication buildings, and other critical telecommunications infrastructure.
Excellent analytical, interpretive, interpersonal, problem- solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, design, and estimating.
Proficient in managing multiple projects, coordinating assignments, and handling multiple tasks concurrently.
Provide third-level technical support for telecommunications infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
Administration: Ensure business and security requirements are met through the effective administration of telecommunications systems.
Research & Development: Stay ahead of industry trends by conducting research and analysis of telecommunications technologies, tools, and architectures to meet current and future needs.
Operational Excellence: Provide robust support to maintain operational reliability and efficiency of telecommunications systems.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering, OR
Education required to qualify for the Professional Engineering (PE) Examination as per the State Board of Engineering, with 6+ years of experience designing telecommunications systems, OR
2+ years of post-high school education in a telecommunications-related field and 10+ years of experience designing/supporting telecommunications systems.
PE registration strongly preferred.
Advanced knowledge of electrical, electronic, or computer theory.
Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and deliver complex telecommunications projects.
