As Manager of Operations, you are responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of electricity to members. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating operational activities, including maintenance, construction, and system reliability initiatives. This role requires adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, cooperative policies, and fostering a positive work culture.
We're looking for a leader with:
Expertise in line construction, maintenance, and safety standards.
Familiarity with utility codes and standards.
Proficiency in system layouts, staking sheets, and GIS mapping.
Experience integrating renewable energy and managing DERs.
Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and team-building abilities.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Understanding of the challenges of serving rural communities.
MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS
This job requires
A High School diploma or equivalent; a college degree preferred.
Ten years of experience in electric utility construction and maintenance.
Expertise in electric utility distribution and transmission, substation, underground and overhead installations and maintenance of electrical systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, technical, planning and organizational skills.
Computer skills adequate to perform necessary tasks.
