Role Overview: As a Journeyman Lineman with us, you’ll play a crucial role in both the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground high voltage power lines. This dynamic position involves a variety of tasks that require technical skill, precision, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction and Maintenance: Construct and maintain high voltage power lines, both overhead and underground, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
Pole Operations: Climb poles, perform hot sticking, set poles, and change pole equipment with expertise and care.
Wire Management: Accurately string and sag wire, maintaining safety and operational standards at all times.
Underground Cable Operations: Pull, lay, and terminate underground cables according to established procedures and quality benchmarks.
Safety Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and your team.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Journeyman Lineman with a strong background in high voltage power line construction and maintenance.
Proficiency in pole climbing, hot sticking, and operating heavy equipment.
In-depth knowledge of wire management, underground cable operations, and equipment installation.
Strong commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Trico Electric Cooperative is a member-owned, not-for-profit, distribution cooperative headquartered in Marana, Arizona. We service more than 45,000 Members in rural areas surrounding the City of Tucson across three counties in southern Arizona. The majority of Trico’s service territory is to the west of Tucson and spans approximately 66 miles east to west and 80 miles north to south, extending to the border with Mexico. Overall, Trico’s service area encompasses 2,346 square miles.
Area farmers and ranchers organized Trico in 1945 under the Rural Electrification Act that was enacted to bring electricity to the rural areas of the United States. Three years later, Trico’s first electrical lines were energized. A Certificate of Convenience and Necessity issued by the Arizona Corporation Commission in 1966 provides Trico the exclusive right to provide electric distribution service in its territory. Between 1987 and the present, additional Certificates were issued for the SaddleBrooke and Oracle Junction areas, adding 32 square miles to the northern part of Trico’s service area.
