General Purpose of Job

The Contract Specialist is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and service agreements for the Cooperative. This role ensures compliance with Cooperative policies, federal regulations, and industry standards, while supporting procurement and vendor management activities. The Contract Specialist plays a critical role in the contract lifecycle, from development to execution and monitoring.

Education

• Associate’s degree in business administration, contract administration, procurement, or a related field.
• Job-related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Experience

• Two (2) years of experience in contract administration, procurement, or a related field.
• Knowledge of RUS standards and federal procurement regulations is preferred.

Other Requirements

• Ability to work irregular hours for assignment completion and flexibility to change scheduling and report to work on short notice during emergency situations.
• Normal work hours will be eight (8) hours Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
