About the Benefits Coordinator Role:
The Benefits Coordinator will report to the Benefits Manager, and will become the third member of SGH’s dynamic Benefits team. The benefits team works closely with the other nine members of the HR team including General HR, HR Operations, and Talent Acquisition.

We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented individual who is excited about benefits and understands the importance of what makes an organization truly stand out. You will be a vital part of a compassionate, employee-centric team that prides itself on delivering exceptional service. As a Benefits Coordinator, you will provide assistance with multiple aspects of benefits support.
Location: Waltham, MA. This is a hybrid position. This role requires at least one in-office day per week, specifically Mondays, at our corporate headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts.
What You'll Be Doing:
Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including but not limited to group health (medical/dental/vision), flexible spending accounts (FSA), life and disability insurance, voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, employee assistance program, wellness, COBRA, and Profit Sharing & 401(k).
Respond to general benefits and leave of absence related inquiries.
Assist with benefit and leave related tasks in SGH’s HRIS (ADP), including new hire enrollments, status changes, qualifying events, benefit catch-up deductions, and back-end benefit plan updates.
Support the Benefits team with annual Open Enrollment, including managing the employee self-service HRIS process and approvals.
Support leave administration, including leave of absence tracking.
Manage workers’ compensation posting requirements, notices and materials.
Update benefits, compliance and wellness materials within SGH’s HRIS, company intranet, and onboarding platform.
Manage and process requests under SGH’s Tuition Reimbursement Program.
Assist Benefits Team and Safety Team with ergonomic support needs. Process and reconcile benefits invoices.
Create various benefit reports, including employee enrollments, compliance reports and other ad-hoc benefits report requests.
Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
3-5 year’s experience in employee benefits.
Strong knowledge of general benefits and leave of absence terminology.
Energy and passion for administering employee benefits and providing excellent employee customer support.
Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence and strong ability to provide clear information to employees.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience with HRIS platforms(s), preferably ADP, a plus.
Compensation:
Anticipated : $35.00 – 39.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate pursuant to applicable equal pay and pay transparency laws. The actual rate offered will be based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Base salary is a part of SGH’s industry leading Total Compensation package. Our Total Compensation package includes base salary, pay for extra hours worked, an annual discretionary bonus program, generous paid time off, and health and wellness benefits with a special emphasis on substantial SGH contributions to medical insurance premiums and SGH’s Profit Sharing & 401(k) Plan.
