At Southwestern Electric Cooperative, we power more than just homes - we power communities, progress, and possibilities. As our Manager of Member Services, you'll play an essential role in driving the cooperative's community engagement activities and promoting the cooperative within the community.
Essential Duties:
Serves as the member advocate by addressing member inquiries, concerns, complaints and requests.
Seeks out opportunities for community engagement and works to develop and promote youth programs, educational enrichment programs, safety programs, and special projects beneficial to the Cooperative's membership.
Recommends action on donations and other community support activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in public relations, communication, business, political science, or related field is preferred, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; or equivalent training and experience.
Experience in leading projects and coordinating events is required.

Formed in 1939 with a loan from the Rural Electrification Administration (REA), Southwestern Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SWECI) is a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative located in Southwestern Illinois. Southwestern Electric Cooperative serves nearly 23,000 residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial member accounts in parts of Bond, Clay, Clinton, Fayette, Effingham, Macoupin, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Shelby and St. Clair Counties. Headquartered in Greenville, Illinois, the co-op maintains nearly 3,500 miles of power line, employs more than 80 people, and owns a 47-megawatt peaking plant.
