Salary is commensurate with experience and degree earned and ranges from the full time equivalent of $48,000.00 to $65,000.00 annually. This position may be eligible for part-time benefits including personal and sick leave benefits. Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a part-time Middle School Theology Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The position is an exempt, part-time, 10-month position. The ideal candidate will have Middle School teaching experience and a strong academic record focusing on an inquiry-based approach. This position will report directly to the Middle School Head.
Successful candidates will be dedicated to a Catholic all-girls education, share the school’s commitment to equity and inclusion, have experience working with a diverse student population, and be an advocate for Catholic Social Teaching. Applicants must be enthusiastic, energetic, flexible, and willing to teach as a member of a team, in conjunction with the other Theology department members.
Responsibilities include:
Teach 2-3 Middle School Theology classes.
Qualifications:
All applicants should be practicing Catholics with at least one of the following degrees:
Graduate degree in Theology, Religious Studies or Religious Education;
Bachelor degree in Theology, Religion or Religious Studies; or,
Bachelor degree with coursework in Theology, Religion or Religious Studies
Additional Requirements:
Middle School experience preferred.
Experience working in an independent school setting preferred
Willingness to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and parents
Eagerness to embrace the mission and values of Maryvale and our connection to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur
