The targeted salary range for this position is $209,841.57-241,965.01 with anticipated pay for new hires between the entry and midpoint of this range and could vary above and below the listed range. Position Summary:
Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Broadband provides leadership, strategy, and management to build a world class, gigabit Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network. The Vice President will serve as the NH Broadband’s team leader while also effectively working with the community, local/state officials, vendors, and contractors. This position is responsible for meeting project deadlines while ensuring subscriber satisfaction and profitability.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Manages and directs operations and activities of NHEC’s FTTH subsidiary, NH Broadband, including hiring and managing employees, preparing reports, budgeting, reviewing, and executing vendor contracts, maintaining public relations, marketing services, and managing assets.
Research new and emerging technologies to further the goals of the company.
Evaluates new business and expansion opportunities and recommends new services. Executes plans to expand service offerings and areas for expansion.
Plans, directs, and oversees all lines of broadband business to ensure profitability and subscriber satisfaction.?
Operates and maintains the FTTH network within the financial projections and approved budget. If modifications are required, develops budget/plan amendments with financial analysis for CEO.
Establishes and implements goals within guidelines established by the CEO.
Ensures operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Also ensures compliance with grant, loan, and other funding covenants and requirements.
Represents the company with regulatory agencies, legislative bodies, and industry associations.
Promotes and maintains a safe working environment and observes all safety rules.?
Maintains positive and productive relations with vendors, contractors, subscribers, customers, and the general public in carrying out the responsibilities of the position.
Works proactively with consultants as required, ensuring the success of the FTTH deployment and ongoing operations.

Required Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, finance, or related field required.
10 years of management/supervisory experience.
Experience marketing internet and telecommunications services; developing and managing business partner relationships; developing and leading a high-performing team in a positive work environment and working with and understanding fiber plant construction methods and processes.
Advanced knowledge of market offerings, product pricing, networking technologies, VoIP, and fiber technologies.
Consideration will be given to those with exemplary experience and successful performance in business management roles and fields outside of telecommunications if the candidate demonstrates creative problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and leadership abilities.
Knowledgeable about budgeting, general accounting, fiscal management practices, and business operating systems. A thorough understanding of financial principles; be able to evaluate fiscal and financial information and achieve positive financial results.
A successful project manager, able to work effectively with multiple parties (contractors, employees, community members, vendors).
“Leading by example” with the ability to balance multiple priorities and competing interests is also critical to this role.
Must work well as a team player while also serving in a leadership role.
Must be able to present and communicate effectively with NHEC Board of Directors.
Consistently utilize interpersonal skills with staff, customers, contractors, and the general public.
Exhibit critical thinking and problem-solving, a high degree of accuracy with attention to detail.
Must be effective in dealing with human/public relations in various business circumstances, this includes strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Demonstrated ability to manage and direct an FTTH organization, including but not limited to establishing and implementing policies, procedures, organizational structures, staffing, processes, and management reporting and controls.
Management/supervisory experience in Telecommunications Field Operations, Fiber Construction, Project Management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Outside Plant, and Internet Service Provider (ISP) operations.

Emergency Restoration
Assistance with restoration efforts is required of all employees.
Employees will be assigned functions to support storm restoration and for some employees that may be different from their normal duties.
Such assistance may require working nights, weekends and holidays which may involve considerable extra hours.
In order to meet this working condition, all employees are required to provide a personal phone number where they may be reached after hours. This number will only be used for internal purposes.

Working Conditions:
Normal office conditions, overtime may be required. Positions eligible for a hybrid work schedule will be dependent upon management approval & workload, however on-site office work in the Plymouth, NH area will be required.??
Will be required to work long hours on occasions, especially during major system outages. Limited travel required in the performance of work responsibilities and representing NHEC at various professional and association meetings.
