Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a Business and Entrepreneurship Faculty in The Mitchell Leadership Institute to enhance its strong classroom and campus-wide curriculum. This is an exempt, part-time, 10-month position. The ideal candidate will serve as a welcoming presence for all stakeholders. Also, she/he will have a strong attention to detail and successfully pass a criminal background check.

Overview:

The Mitchell Leadership Institute seeks to inspire the next generation of female leaders with early exposure to a wide range of careers. By pairing students with professionals in fields of interest, the program aims to cultivate confidence and a greater understanding of the diverse career opportunities available to women. Our goal is to help students explore potential career paths and learn the skills necessary to lead and succeed in the professional workplace.

Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring the quality and delivery of the content of leadership classes including, but not limited to: Fundamentals of Business, Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy as well as aspects of the Middle School leadership curriculum.
• The successful candidate will work directly for the Director of the Mitchell Leadership Institute and closely with school administration, faculty, and staff to support campus-wide leadership development programming.
• The successful candidate will encourage and support student engagement via mentoring of clubs and/or other appropriate extracurricular activities.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or another field related to coursework and leadership
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills
• Initiative to build, grow, and innovate leadership curricula
• Experience working in an independent school setting preferred
• Willingness to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and parents 
• Eagerness to embrace the mission and values of Maryvale and our connection to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur 
• Commitment to equity and inclusion and have experience working with a diverse student population
• Commitment to single gender education for young women 
• Genuine enthusiasm, personal warmth, and high energy level
