 Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Upper School English Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This position is an exempt, full-time, 10-month position. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record focusing on writing, reading, and analysis. This position will report directly to the Upper School Head.

Responsibilities include:

• Teach various levels and grades of Upper School English
• Serve as an advisor in the Student Advisory Program
• Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in English required;
• Experience working in an independent school setting preferred
• Willingness to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and parents
• Eagerness to embrace the mission and values of Maryvale and our connection to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur
• Commitment to equity and inclusion and have experience working with a diverse student population
• Commitment to single gender education for young women
• Genuine enthusiasm, personal warmth, and high energy level

Additional Requirements:

• Subject to a criminal background check prior to employment
• Subject to a Child Protection Services screening prior to employment
• Subject to a MSDE Employment History Review screening for Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Misconduct
