We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced video editor to join our creative team. This role requires deep expertise in filming and editing both short-form (reels) and long-form episodic content, with a fast-paced, high-energy editing style tailored for digital platforms. The ideal candidate is someone who can bring automotive storytelling to life, turning raw footage into engaging, visually compelling content that resonates with gearheads, racers, and car enthusiasts alike. You will also manage a remote video editor.
Responsibilities:
- Edit high-impact reels and episodic content for destinations such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, with dynamic storytelling and engagement.
- Create video ads and commercials for POWER-related events and brands.
- Use CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro
- This role is 80% editing and 20% filming. You will also manage an external video editor and team of contractor/freelancers.
- Collaborate with content teams to develop compelling videos
- Execute fast-turnaround edits while maintaining top-tier quality and storytelling.
- Add motion graphics, sound design, and color correction to enhance videos.
- Stay ahead of social media trends and platform algorithms to optimize content for maximum reach and impact.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring smooth post-production workflows.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Passion AND experience in high-performance automotive content creation or working in the automotive media industry.
- 4+ years of professional video shooting & editing experience
- Must be located in the Temecula/Murrieta offices (this is an in-house role)
- Expert-level proficiency in tools like CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Proven experience editing high-performing reels, social media content, and long-form videos with fast-paced, engaging storytelling.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Knowledge of social media best practices, trends, and audience engagement tactics.
- Exceptional storytelling instincts with an eye for pacing, energy, and cinematic visuals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Photoshop, After Effects
- Color grading and motion graphics skills a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a distributed creative team.
