The Candidate
Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management is a senior member of the School’s leadership team and is charged with creating and executing an ongoing enrollment management plan for approximately 580 students from Pre-K through Grade 12. The Director works closely with the Board of Trustees, Senior Administration, and Division colleagues to uphold the mission of the International School of Boston.
The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Financial Aid Committee, Retention Committee, and Admissions Marketing Communications Working Group and participates in ad hoc committees as necessary.
The successful candidate will engage and lead recruitment and retention efforts out front to grow the enrollment of the school. This person will oversee the work of two people in the admissions office, and work closely on marketing and communications with the Director of Strategic Engagement and the team focused on website, social media, and volunteer engagement. This person will benefit from established systems, implementing programming findings from a recently completed marketing study and a newly revised digital marketing effort.

Strategic Planning
ISB launched a new five-year Strategic Plan in September 2024. The complete Strategic Plan can be found here. Initiatives specific to admissions and enrollment management include:
Grow enrollment and tuition income by capitalizing on relationships with new and existing partners.
Expand financial aid tools to ensure the School remains affordable, attracting families and students to better support our enrollment strategies.
Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Engagement to execute data-driven digital marketing campaigns to improve the inquiry-to-application conversion and support enrollment growth.
Finance & Human Resources
Create multi-year enrollment plans drawing on existing research and data to help guide and inform.
Provide regular input to the Head of School and Chief Financial Officer regarding trends observed in tuition models and increases.
Serve as a member of the Financial Aid Committee; participate in all relevant meetings, and coordinate with the Chief Financial Officer for the French bourses scolaire.
Maintain connections with other faculty and staff to create institutional awareness of and commitment to the complete journey of all applicants, students, and parents/guardians from inquiry to enrollment.
Supervise the Director of Admissions Operations & Outreach and the Associate Director of Admissions.
Enrollment Marketing, Outreach, and Events
Maintain regular contact with feeder schools, educational consultants, community organizations, and businesses with the potential to support ISB’s enrollment growth.
Oversee ISB’s participation in school fairs or similar events where ISB representation is needed, providing a visible, accurate, and informative image of ISB.
Collaborate with Division Directors and the Admissions team to plan and execute all admissions events, including Open Houses, yield events, online programming and shadow visit days.
Work closely with the Director of Strategic Engagement and the Marketing & Communications Team to:
Develop and implement the Strategic Enrollment Marketing Plan to increase ISB’s brand awareness and meet enrollment growth objectives.
Provide input and approvals as needed on print and digital advertising materials, website updates, emails, and other communications reflecting the admissions, acceptance, yield, and onboarding experience.
Support other priority initiatives identified by the Admissions Marketing Communications working group.
General Admissions Responsibilities
Oversee the admissions evaluation process, including applications in Ravenna and enrollment in Veracross.
Establish a high level of quality communication and responsiveness with applicants, incoming parents, and students throughout the admissions process.
Ensure that adequate information about the School, its curriculum, philosophy, and mission, as well as its admissions and enrollment procedures, is available to parents.
Oversee the processing of I-20 forms through SEVIS.
Serve on the School’s Retention Committee.
Coordinate volunteer efforts of parents, alumni and current students as they relate to admissions.
Prepare monthly reports for the Board of Trustees and attend meetings as required.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
Comfort with a data analytics approach to enrollment management, particularly with Ravenna and Veracross/Axiom.
Ability to manage and support teams to achieve measurable goals.
A sense of enjoyment and a high level of energy regarding all aspects of the work of an enrollment manager.
Superior communication skills, both written and spoken.
Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
