This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing. The role oversees all communication efforts for the athletics department, leading promotion and marketing initiatives for varsity sports at Hebron Christian Academy, a private K4-12th grade school located 45 minutes outside Atlanta. Responsibilities include digital media promotion, storytelling, statistical reporting, and managing HebronAthletics.org.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field
At least one year of experience in a sports information/athletic media relations office is required
Evening and weekend hours are required in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create engaging content and cohesive storytelling to promote HCA athletics
Responsible for leading the communications unit in producing external content for website and social media channels
Develop a comprehensive creative media plan including video, photography, and graphic design
Create a social media calendar with regular content to promote HCA athletics and individual players and teams
Provide a consistent and professional voice on all social media channels
Maintain athletics website, providing updated rosters, schedules, scores, news and media
Travel with assigned teams to away and postseason games to handle media inquiries, write feature stories, press releases and record game statistics.
Assists in other duties as assigned within the marketing and communications department
