The Executive Director is the organizational leader of Opera on the James and reports to the Board of Directors, providing the management, leadership and vision needed in order to ensure the organizational, artistic and financial success of the Company. Collaborating with the Artistic Director, the ED ensures the artistic success of the Company, while raising the Company’s community profile and enhancing its reputation for excellence locally, regionally, and nationally. As spokesperson, advocate and visible representative of Opera on the James through Central Virginia and the U.S., the Executive Director takes an active part in the life of the community and resides here, ensuring that the Company engages, reflects, and celebrates the rich diversity of Central Virgin
