The Energy Efficiency Branch at the CPUC supports the State’s ambitious clean energy and environmental goals by ensuring that energy efficiency is the first resource procured before conventional generation. The Energy Efficiency Planning and Forecasting team, specifically, is tasked with the development of energy efficiency forecasts and establishing energy savings goals for electric and gas utilities. This team spearheads coordination of energy efficiency with innovative strategies for building electrification and the nexus of water and energy saving.
