If someone in 1977 had offered you a job at a small, zany startup called ‘Apple,’ you may or may not have been interested (or thought it was a fruit stand). But knowing what we all know now, you might “think different” about that opportunity if it appeared again today. OK, I’m not going to get up on a soapbox and compare our little startup to Apple. We’re no tech company (and the author of this memo is certainly no Steve Jobs). But I’ll draw at least one important parallel: we’re rethinking an industry that’s hungry for change, we’re going to make a profound difference, and the secret to our success will be the caliber and integrity of our people – and you could be among the first!
