Job Description Under administrative direction, the Sun Devil Athletics seeks a qualified Coaching Assistant, Women's Soccer/Goalkeeping to support the Head Coach in providing coaching and administrative assistance to the team. The Coaching Assistant shares responsibility for maintaining student athlete success and supporting the academic development and graduation of student-athletes while focusing on student-athlete welfare; assisting in successfully directing the Soccer program to compete for NCAA Championships; assisting in the recruitment of student-athletes and maintaining a culture of personal accountability in student-athlete performance and conduct, assisting in the planning and direction of all practices, travel, and game activities. This position adheres to NCAA and PAC-12 rules and regulations, as well as Arizona Board of Regents, University, and Athletic Department policies and procedures.

Essential Duties
Assist in overseeing daily practices.
Assist with preparation, organization, design, and implementation of effective practice schedules.
Assist with recruits and retains, develops, and graduates high performing Soccer Student-Athletes.
Assist with coaching and analyzing top level goalkeepers.
Assist with player analysis, utilizing analytics data.
Assist in the conditioning, training and performance of team members.
Assist in monitoring academic progress and eligibility status of student team members and the participation of team members in class attendance and meeting mandatory study hall requirements.
Ensure consistent compliance with all University, NCAA and Pac 12 Conference rules, and regulations.
Counsel student athletes in their obligations to observe rules and procedures adopted by the University, Conferences, and the NCAA.
Perform community engagement, donor, and public relations.
Help to ensure participation in public relation activities are in conformance with all applicable rules and regulations governing Intercollegiate Athletics as approved by SDA Administration and Head Coach.
Perform administrative duties pertaining to the program as assigned by the Head Coach.
Assist with budget management while utilizing strong computer skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field AND one (1) year of coaching experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualificiations
Coaching experience within an elite or collegiate athletics environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Experience with soccer analytics.
Evidence of effective communication skills.
Experience in using organizational, public relations, interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills when working with student-athletes, faculty, staff, coaches, and administration.
Experience in multi-tasking and working cooperatively with others.
Experience working with multi-cultural populations.
Evidence of high integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and Institutional rules as they apply to the Arizona State Athletics program.
Experience working extended daily hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Demonstrated knowledge of techniques and methods, specific to the soccer, to include knowledge of science and technology of training and conditioning for sports competition.
Evidence of a Goalkeeper Coaching certificate or diploma preferred.
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk/run moderate distances to perform work .
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
Work schedule is dependent upon athletic season competition schedule and may include days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Travel is required for this position.
Driving is required for position.
