How can you benefit EnergyUnited? In this role you will:
Coordinate company-wide training calendar and preparation of training plans for all employees.
Organize and maintain the HR training calendar, schedule events, create presentations and handle logistics for each session.
Coordinate the HR site visit calendar to ensure that one member of the team visits each site monthly throughout the year.
Maintain accurate and current personnel files including filing new hire documents, workers compensation and FMLA documents.
Maintain employee workshop and seminar forms, upload to vault.
Be responsible for issuing badges and maintaining an up-to-date database access for employees.
Code and process vendor invoices for HR Department.
Maintain new hire, termination, promotion and progression checklists for new and terminating employees.
Complete reference checks for candidates.
Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding.
Assist with preparing and maintaining EEO-1, Vets 100A and Affirmative Action reports and statistical data related to same.
Assist in coordinating quarterly random drug tests.
Assist with updating HR Page on intranet with current documents, notices, EAP Newsletters, ElecTel Credit Union information, etc. that relate to HR.
Maintain and update employee data on company intranet, Benefit Connector and recognition platform.
Post information to the recognition platform regarding get well, sympathy, congratulations, and more.
Serve as backup for E-Verify for new employees.
Make travel arrangements for the HR Department.
Complete administrative duties such as labels and mailings.
Coordinate meetings, outings, and events for the HR team.
Perform group data updates, imports, data validity checks, and research/report on any data discrepancies.
Conduct audits of systems to confirm accuracy and integrity of all data entered.
Deliver routine daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting and respond to basic to intermediate ad hoc data requests.
Respond to routine employee inquiries. Refer other inquiries to the appropriate manager.
Position Requirements:
Have a bachelor’s degree in business or related field with a concentration in Human Resources. An associate degree in business or related field and related experience may also be accepted.
Minimum of two years within the HR Function.
Must have a North Carolina Commercial Driver’s License.
Normal working conditions and hours of 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Irregular working hours are required due to the nature of the position. Must be available for work during adverse weather conditions.
Requires a high level of confidentiality.
Have some knowledge of human resources management principles, practices, and procedures with excellent time management and project management skills.
This position requires high attention to detail.
Must have a positive, open mind and considerate attitude toward the responsibilities of the position.
Must be a self-starter.
Must have an attitude of neatness, timeliness, orderliness and accuracy toward the job.
Must possess a very conscientious attitude toward record keeping.
Must have ability to implement work plans, make sound decisions from observations and carry out instructions.

Where will you work?
This position is categorized as Hybrid which allows an employee to perform work associated with the job from both an EnergyUnited location and their home office.
This position is classified as a Non-Direct Operational Position. All employees assigned to headquarters or non-direct operational positions must make their residence within one of the nineteen counties served by the Cooperative or within a 40 (forty) road mile radius to any EnergyUnited EMC office.
This position is non-exempt as defined by the Fair Labor Standards Act as amended.
