Works directly with project teams to coordinate all facets of project construction and safety activities. Manages internal and external resources. Coordinates and manages QA/QC during the project. Collaborates with Project Managers and project team to oversee execution of project plans including scope, schedule and budget. Leads change management efforts and documents opportunities for continuous improvement. Monitors and reports project KPI’s and daily/weekly/monthly progress.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for direction and performance of field operations and construction management for assigned project(s) in accordance with project RACI matrices.
Responsible for developing and executing the safety plan in coordination with Hoosier Energy Safety and Training Department, Hoosier Energy Operation and contractor safety representatives.
Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Lead procurement activities during planning and execution.
Responsible for the development and implementation of communication plans and strategy for construction activities in conjunction with the project Manager.
Manage project permitting process for construction.
Responsible for resource needs required to successfully complete construction.
Assist Project Manager with project team and stakeholder management during construction phase of the project.
Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders on land management efforts before, during, and upon completion of construction projects
Lead field efforts on change management and document control. Responsible for scope, schedule, and budget during construction phase of project.
Assist Project Manager in the development and execution of the project construction quality plan to ensure workmanship meets Hoosier Energy specifications and standards.
Responsible for monitoring and communicating risk in accordance with the risk management plan during construction and commissioning.
Responsible for project closing deliverables as required by Hoosier Energy’s Project Management Office Project Closing Deliverables.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering minimum
Experience:
Five years’ experience in construction management experience in the utility or related industry minimum
Skills and Abilities:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and work as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple projects with varying scopes and timelines
Demonstrated level of professionalism and positive attitude
Ability to exercise flexibility to work effectively in a changing environment

Working knowledge of project management process, financial and business risk analysis, methods and modeling techniques
