Excelerate Energy, LP (“Excelerate”) has engaged Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for a Senior Director, Legal.
Company: Excelerate Energy is changing the way the world accesses clean, affordable, and reliable energy. They are focused on providing flexible LNG solutions to emerging markets across the globe and delivering a lesser emitting form of energy to markets that often rely on coal as their primary energy source.
Position: Reporting to Vice-President Legal, this employee will serve within the Company’s legal department as an in-house attorney. The employee will (i) draft, review and negotiate contracts while working closely with various groups within the company, (ii) oversee and manage outside lawyers, and (iii) assist with internal corporate governance. The employee will be actively involved in the development of new projects which may include LNG and natural sales, vessel chartering, regasification services, power plants and associated financings. Project development will require international travel.
Experience: The successful candidate will have at least 5+ years’ of experience as an attorney at an Am Law 100 or Magic Circle law firm in the energy or project finance practice, or at a major company in the international energy industry (required) and specifically in the LNG industry (preferred).
