PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, an electric generation and transmission cooperative serving Alabama and Northwest Florida, is seeking an AV – Multimedia Specialist at the Headquarters Office located in Andalusia, Alabama. The purpose of this position is to assist in providing audio/video capabilities, webcasting services and video conferencing services needed by PowerSouth personnel for instruction, conferences, special events, and meetings. The incumbent also assists in the maintaining of supplies and equipment in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The incumbent will assist with printing for all internal and external printing services. Additionally, this position assists with photography, video editing and photography services as provided by the department.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in broadcast technology, video production, photography, multimedia, information systems, networking, or a related field and/or equivalent work experience. Technical expertise in MS-Windows and PC applications, PC hardware maintenance, software installation, PC upgrades, connecting and maintaining peripherals, maintaining and installing PC-AV integration required. Must be able to achieve certification for AV-Multimedia Technician within one (1) year of employment.
