This position can work remotely. Our hybrid team gives you support to think, learn, and grow in a remote and/or in-person capacity. Rest assured, no one is an island, you will work closely with the rest of your team and have the support of other accounting professionals like yourself.
In the Payroll Accountant role, you’ll join a goal-oriented team where you’ll complete payroll and related processes for all services (electric, gas, and fiber), reconcile accounts, complete monthly general ledger entries, assist with month-end closing procedures, and complete various additional accounting tasks to support the financial services team and manager.

Education and experience required:
Four-year degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred, work experience in lieu of education may be considered.
Three years of accounting and payroll experience.
Must have a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Familiarity with RUS Uniform System is preferred.
Capable of making full use of available tools and technologies.
Effective communication, organization, and planning skills.
Accuracy, self-motivation, emotional intelligence, and confidentiality.
