Salary is commensurate with experience and degree earned and ranges from $48,000.00 to $65,000.00 annually.

Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Director of Library and Digital Learning for the 2025-2026 school year. The position is an exempt, full-time, 10-month position. This position will report directly to the Upper School Head.
Essential Job Functions:
Teaching:
Provide research support for Upper School and Middle School classes.
Teaching includes designing the curriculum, planning classes, designing LibGuides, and digital learning
Lead Library Orientation sessions for new students and all employees.
Teach 1-2 middle school courses each semester
Administrative Duties:
Responsible for $25,000 library budget
Negotiate prices and services with vendors for library databases
Work with Business Office and balance budget monthly
Order all collection development materials including reference, nonfiction, fiction, eBooks, and databases.
Maintain circulation and library usage statistics. Supervisor of parent volunteers for the library
Manage the library and all aspects of the library program
Lead instruction on media literacy, digital research methods, and resources.
Have a working knowledge of the web-based library management and interactive catalogue system, Destiny, and its features
Have a working knowledge of NoodleTools for library research and assist teachers in implementing its use.
Programming:
Plan innovative programming for students and adults to become life-long love of reading
Example: Moderate for Upper School and Middle School Book clubs
Stay up-to-date with young adult literature from diverse perspectives.
Collaborate with colleagues to promote digital storytelling and other interactive programming across the curriculum
Partner with various Departments for summer reading assignments.
Support the schools’ mission by fostering a welcoming and inclusive library environment aligned with the values of Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Bachelor’s degree in Library Information Science or Education or related field.
Experience working in an independent school setting preferred
Willingness to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and parents
